The model
What is Khud Kafeel?
RM covers 75% of startup cost as a grant.
Repaid gradually over a maximum of 4 months, with no interest.
Khud Kafeel (meaning self-sufficient) is RM’s micro-business empowerment initiative focused on eradicating poverty and dependency culture. We provide resources and support to individuals with no income who are willing to work but lack the means to start.
RM covers 75% of startup cost as a grant. The remaining 25% is a returnable contribution — repaid gradually over a maximum of 4 months, with no interest. The process is formalized through an Iqraar Nama on stamp paper.
Since launch, 25+ individuals across Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Skardu have established their own businesses.
